Derelict buildings

Local action needed by council

"Urgent action needed in kells."

There is serious action required by the local council to renevate and restore buildings that have been left lying idle and derelict.

Kells is a heritage town and therefore should be treated like one.

There is an alarming amount of derelict buildings in kells that attract unwanted anti-social behavior.

The local people of kells that I have spoken to about the problem say that they are in fear of there safety when they pass by some of these buildings.

With unemployment now alarmingly high in kells, a programme of local employment is now needed.

With this programme the local council can rejuvenate these derelict buildings and put them back into the public mainstream, and make the town of kells more attractive to visitors.

A 300lb fertiliser bomb abandoned in the centre of Castlewellan was going to rejuvenate the town too was it?
