Popular uprisings spread across Middle East despite brutal crackdowns

Troops loyal to the Bahrain royal family have been using live ammunition against protestors resulting in many deaths . The article suggests that America , whose Fifth Fleet is based in the oil-rich state of Bahrain ,is acting in close collaboration with the royal regime .
